According to the research made by CIES football, Manchester City meets their first billion-Euro squad in the history of English Premier League. CIES is a football statistics research group based in Switzerland, and through their research made, Man City explore to their first billion-euro squad.

Pep side has gone a long way spending a huge sum of money (€1.014bn/£906m) on their current players. Ever since Abu Dhabi took over in 2008, Man City has achieved great things. From the list of CIES below shows that Paris saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus as second, third, fourth and fifth also spent €913m, €902m, €751m and €719m respectively.

The research was basically on the top teams in each of the four Europe’s biggest Leagues; La Liga, Serie A, premier League and German Bundesliga.

From the list below, Manchester United is the second most expensive squad in Premier League with €751m. The researchers show that City squad worth 32 times the value of Norwich.
