Cristiano Ronaldo meets 50-year scoring record and tops the LA LIGA scoring Chart with Juventus. The 33 year old Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo with his opening goal on Saturday against SPAL which ended 2-0 victory over SPAL have broken a record with a scoring sheet which no Juventus player have ever reached for the past 50 years. The former Madrid star opened the game from six yards in the 28th minutes of the game beating the goalkeeper Alfred Gomis before Mario Mandzukic added Juve’s second in the 60th minute at the Allianz Stadium.

The Saturday’s goal against SPAL boosted him to the top of the scoring chart of the league with 9 goals together with Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek alongside with Ciro Immobile and Dries Mertens who are on eight and seven goals respectively in the top scoring list. Ronaldo’s six assists pushed him to the top suppressing the Genoa’s man Piatek with no assist for his team. 

Cristiano proved to his former club why his presence is always needed in the team despite moving him to the Serie A side. The European Champion lost a 3-0 defeat to Eibar same on Saturday when ronaldo reached the record which no Juve player have reached for 50 years..

There is no doubt that Ronaldo is not the best player ever in the history of football. He conquered the English Premier league, La Liga and now he is doing it in the Italian Serie A. This record no Juventus player has ever reached for the past 50 years now, he has reached it. For 50 years now, he is the first player to have scored nine goals and five assists in his first Juventus season with 13 match appearance in Serie A league since Pietro Anastasi managed it in the 1968-69 season after his move from Varese.

Currently in his first season with Juventus in all competition, Ronaldo has 10 goals in 16 appearances alongside with six assists. 

The 33-year-old has been praised by football fans across the globe for his perfect start in the Italian topflight. It remains to be seen if he could go on to win the top scorer award at the end of the season, but for now Ronaldo is trending for his lethal ability in front of goal.
