In this era of football they have been two rivals that have dominated and ruled over ten years now. The Portuguese man Cristiano Ronaldo and the Argentine man Lionel Messi have been the mouth watering of every day in the history of football for the past ten years. This two however have put their fans in a state of arguments which can never have an end as far as football is concern.

Both parties have won records in the history of football and which the question “who is the best” have been moving round over the world. However, one holds some few records which the other haven’t broken in their career. 
On this article we have to figure out five records which the Portuguese man Cristiano Ronaldo holds which the Argentine man Lionel Messi is yet to break. Ronaldo have played from different clubs which he recently moved from La Liga giants Real Madrid to join the Italian side Juventus while Messi till spending his career in Barcelona.
So let us see the five records which Lionel Messi is yet to break;

Number one: Top scorer in the UEFA Champions League


The Portuguese man Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals scored in the history of Champion league with a total goal of 120 and also the only male player to score in eight successive games played.
The ex Real Madrid man is the only player to score in all group stage matches in a Champion league season and also the only player that have scored 15 and more goals in three consecutive Champions League competition. However, Messi has scored 105 Champions League goals awaiting to break the record of 120 goals.

Number two: More than 50 goals in six consecutive seasons


The Italian side man Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more than 50 goals in six consecutive seasons during his stay at the Bernabeu from the 2010/11 to 2015/16 seasons. However, his rival has scored 50 goals so far in six seasons which three were in consecutive seasons which it seems impossible to break.
Ronaldo has scored at least 40 goals in each of the Liga Liga seasons since his arrival at Real Madrid in 2009.

Number three: International goals and trophies


Here, Ronaldo have done lot more for his country side more than the Argentine man Messi. The Portuguese man Cristiano Ronaldo took his country side to her first European Championship title in 2016 and also leading his national team to finish third place in the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2017.
However, Lionel Messi has never won any trophy for his country with an Argentina shirt despite leading his national team to a final between Germany in the FIFA World cup tournament in Brazil 2014 which they lost to Germany.

Ronaldo also have score record of 85 goals since his debut on August 2003 while Messi has net 65 times for his national team. Messi have to net 20 goals for his national team to tie the Portuguese star man.

Number four: Goals-per-game ratio in La Liga


Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 289 goals in 279 La Liga appearances, with a record per game ratio of 1.04 as of January 2018. However, Lionel has scored 366 goals in 401 La Liga appearances with a goal-per-game ratio of 0.91 as of January 2018 which Messi can break the record soon as his rival Ronal moved to the Seria A side Juventus.

Number five: 60 goals in 4 consecutive calendar years


Cristiano Ronaldo holds the spectacular record of been the only player to score 60 or more goals in four consecutive calendar years from 2011 to 2014. The record is difficult to break although the Argentine man tried to break the record but he scored 60 or more goals in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
