In the history of football many have won so many titles, awards, trophies and so on. Today we are going to show you the past winners of the FIFA World cup golden Glove winners from the beginning of FIFA world cup till date. Below are the lists of the past winners.

Russia 2018 (Thibaut Courtois, Belgium)

Thibaut Courtois the Belgium goalkeeper holds the 21st FIFA World Cup golden glove held in Russia 2018. The tournament started from 14th June to 15th July which involved 32 national teams hosted by Russia. The final was played in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium between France and Croatia which Croatia was defeated by 4-2.  
The Croatia midfielder Luka Modric won the Golden Ball award as the player of the tournament ad also Harry Kane the England captain won the Golden Boot award as the top scorer in the tournament with 6 goals.

Brazil 2014 ( Manuel Neuer, Germany)

The 20th FIFA World Cup was held in Brazil 2014 which was the second time Brazil hosted the competition which was in 1950. Manuel Never the German goalkeeper got the 20th FIFA World cup golden glove held in Brazil 2014.  

South Africa 2010 (Iker Casillas, Spain)

Iker Casillas the Spanish goalkeeper holds the 19th FIFA world cup golden glove held in South Africa 2010. The first World cup held in Africa was hosted by South Africa as the 19th FIFA World Cup. The tournament started on 11th June to 11th July 2010 which involved 32 national teams. The final was between Spain and Netherland which Spain won with 1-0 over their opponent.

Germany, 2006 (Gianluigi Buffon, Italy)

The Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon holds the 18th FIFA world cup golden glove held in Germany 2006. The tournament started on 9th June to 9th July 2006. The 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament in Germany was an outstanding success, with excellent football being played, culminating with an action packed final with Italy defeating France in a penalty shootout.

South Korea and Japan, 2002 (Oliver Kahn, Germany)

The German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn holds the 17th FIFA world cup golden glove held in South Korea and Japan in 2002.

France, 1998 (Fabien Barthez, France)

Fabien Barthez France goalkeeper holds the 16th FIFA world cup golden glove held in France 1998. France hosted the world cup and Fabian Barthez worked hard to make their country proud for winning the award.

USA, 1994 (Michel Preud'homme, Belgium)

In 1994, USA hosted the FIFA World Cup and was a huge success despite Football being a minor sport in that country. Michel Preud’homme, Belgium goalkeeper won and holds the 15th World cup golden glove held in USA. The final was between Brazil and Italy, Brazil won the title with a 3-2 penalty shootout after the score was 0-0 after extra time.

Italy, 1990 ( Luis Gabelo Conejo Costa Rica, Sergio Goycochea Argentina)

Italy holds the 14th FIFA world cup in 1990. In the tournament we have two goalkeepers with the golden glove award which are Luis Gabelo Conejo of Costa Rica and Sergio Goycochea of Argentina. Both did perfect in the tournament to make their country proud.

Mexico, 1986 (Jean-Marie Pfaff, Belgium)

Jean-Marie Pfaff Belgium goalkeeper holds the 13th FIFA World cup Golden glove award held in Mexico 1986.

Spain, 1982 (Dino Zoff, Italy)

Spain hosted the 12th FIFA World cup in the year 1982. Dino Zoff of Italy won the FIFA World cup golden glove in Spain.

Argentina, 1978 (Ubaldo Fillol, Argentina)

Ubaido Fillol Argentina goalkeeper holds the 11th FIFA World cup golden glove held in Argentina 1978. The tournament was hosted by the Argentines and they won the title by defeating Netherlands by 3-1 after extra time.

Germany, 1974 (Sepp Maier, West Germany)

The 1974 FIFA World Cup which is the 10th edition was held in West Germany from 13 June to 7 July. It was the first time that the newly designed FIFA World Cup Trophy was awarded, replacing the Jules Rimet Trophy. Sepp Maier goalkeeper of West Germany holds the FIFA World cup golden glove award held in West Germany 1974.  The Final was won by the host nation Germany, beating Holland 2-1. It was West Germany's second World Cup victory, the first was in 1954.

Mexico, 1970 (Ladislao Mazurkiewicz, Uruguay)

The 1970 FIFA World Cup which is the 9th edition was held in Mexico. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz of Uruguay holds the FIFA World cup golden glove award held in Mexico 1970.

England, 1966 (Gordon Banks, England)

England goalkeeper Gordon Banks holds the 8th edition of the FIFA World cup Golden glove held in England 1966. The tournament of the FIFA World Cup was held in England from 11 July to 30 July. In the Final, England beat West Germany 4-2 after extra time. This was England's first FIFA World Cup title.

Chile, 1962 (Viliam Schrojf, Czechoslovakia)

Viliam Schrojf Czechoslovakia goalkeeper won the 7th edition of the FIFA World cup golden glove held in Chile 1962.

Sweden, 1958 (Harry Gregg, Northern Ireland)

Harry Gregg, Northern Ireland goalkeeper won the 6th edition of the FIFA World cup golden glove held in Sweden 1958. Although, Brazil won the title in the tournament leaving the Northern Ireland goalkeeper to lift the golden glove title.

Switzerland 1954 (Gyula Grosics, Hungary)

Switzerland hosted the 5th edition of the FIFA World cup in 1954. Gyula Grosics Hungary goalkeeper won the FIFA World cup golden glove title in Switzerland. When Hungary played West Germany in the Final at Wankdorf Stadium in Berne, they were unbeaten in 29 matches in four years (including the Olympic Games). Their undefeated streak crashed when they lost 3-2 to the Germans.

Brazil, 1950 (Roque Máspoli, Uruguay)

The FIFA World Cup was hosted by the Brazilian in 1950 and was the 4th edition of the World cup competition. Roque Máspoli, Uruguay goalkeeper won the FIFA World cup Golden glove award in Brazil. The final match was between Brazil and Uruguay at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on 16 July 1950.

France, 1938 (František Plánička, Czechoslovakia)

In 1938, France hosted the FIFA world cup. The Czechoslovakia goalkeeper František Plánička won the FIFA World cup Golden glove in France 1938. The final match was between Hungary and Italy which Italy won the trophy.

Italy, 1934 (Ricardo, Zamora Spain)

FIFA World cup in 1934 was hosted by Italy and was the 2nd Edition of the FIFA World cup competition. Ricardo Zamora Spain goalkeeper won the FIFA World cup Golden glove award in Italy. The result in the Final match was 2-1 to Italy over Czechoslovakia after extra time played on 10th June 1934.
